Sezane Mederick Coat Review

After my trip to Paris earlier this year, I’ve found myself layering wool coats into my wardrobe more than usual. While LA never gets as cold as Paris, it’s been pretty chilly by LA-standards recently. Naturally, this soft, pink wool coat was calling my name and I love that it’s also perfect for spring. It’s called the “Mederick” coat by Sezane and I couldn’t love it more. It’s slouchy, unstructured, warm enough to wear over warm layers in the winter, and I couldn’t love it more.

Mederick Coat Review & Sizing

Sezane’s mederick coat runs slightly oversized. I ordered the smallest size, a size 2, and I do wish they had a 0 in this style. I’d recommend going down one size if you are able. The arms also run long so I may decide to tailor them in the future. Regardless of sizing, this coat is still a win in my eyes. My husband says it looks like I’m wearing a cozy bathrobe out of the house whenever I’m wearing it and he’s not wrong. That said, it’s a chic bathrobe and it’s a perfect layering piece because it helps to bring any look together beautifully.

The Mederick coat comes in a number of colors other than this powder pink color. I’m especially loving the sand color which tends to be sold out. I also have this coat in caramel brown and I couldn’t love it more. It also comes in a beautiful shade of purple and garden green.

This coat is quite popular on the Sezane website so if they don’t have your size in stock now, you can set an alert on the website or app so that Sezane can ping you when your size is back in stock.

Adele Suede Boots

Today, I paired my mederick coat with one of my favorite pairs of boots. Their brown suede color is so rich and the best part is that they’re actually comfortable to walk in. The heel gives me just enough height but it’s low enough to be truly comfy.

I’d recommend you add these boots to your collection if you need a timeless, chic pair of boots that are comfy enough to walk around a city in. I’d probably spray them with a water repellent before wearing them in the rain because the suede leather is so smooth.

Size-wise, according to the Sezane website, these boots run slightly small They recommend you size up if you’re between sizes, which I did. I ordered a size 38 (I’m usually a 37.5) and they are roomy enough but not too big.

Oversized White Button-Down Dress

I topped off today’s look with an oversized white button-down shirt dress that has quickly become one of my favorite layering pieces. This dress runs large and I have an XS but I happen to love the sizing. It looks chic layered beneath a comfy sweater or cardi and I especially love it paired with tall boots.

Bag & Sunnies

Today, I’m also wearing the Polene “beri” bag I scooped up in Paris. It’s so chic and minimal, and the rounded shape is so cute. This was the bag’s first day out on the town here in LA and I couldn’t love it more. Truth be told, I meant to pair this look with white sunnies but since I left them at home, I wore a black pair instead (that don’t match as well but you win some, you lose some!)
