Two Ways To Wear Your Cardigan

If you’re on the hunt for a timeless sweater you’ll want to wear this season and for years to come, look no further than this white cardigan. It’s made of the softest alpaca and wool blend and it’s so classic and versatile.

This cardi looks great paired with denim (like the wide legged pair I’m wearing here or this lighter pair here), or with skirts or dresses. I also love that it can be worn a couple of different ways—with the buttons facing the front of your look (layered over a classic tee) or with the buttons facing the back.

Wearing Your Cardi Backwards

I especially love wearing this cardigan backwards—buttoning it in the back, and folding the bottom of it up so that it looks more cropped all the way around.

Truth be told, I didn’t get a good shot of the cardi folded up all the way around on this particular day (I got better shots of it half-tucked in the front), but imagine it tucked under all the way around.

The Art Of The Sweater “Tuck”

I usually tuck the edges of my sweater into my bra all the way around or I tuck it into a belt which I often hide around my waist beneath the sweater.

In terms of length, I usually fold the sweater up until I can see the waistline of the jeans. This is a more flattering look for chunky sweaters on most body types because it helps to keep your sweater from overwhelming you by defining your waist.

In the photo above, you can see the sweater untucked, at its normal length. It’s cute but not as flattering in my opinion. It looks more flattering in the photo below, where I have it half tucked in because you can see the waistline of my jeans defined.
