Family: December 2023

These are some of my favorite photos of Naiya and Sadie we’ve taken to date. Their personalities really shine through and their love for each other really pops on camera (they’re ALMOST always this obsessed with each other).

As we head into the final weeks of the 2023, I’ve found myself beginning to reflect on the year. This year felt more challenging than most in a lot of ways work-wise. I felt a lot of extra pressure based upon unforeseen changes in the market landscape which I know so many of you were feeling too.

It was our first full year “back” to life after the Pandemic and life in this new normal just feels sort of off and oftentimes unhinged. When we listen to the news, it sounds like the whole world is on fire. But with all of the challenges and negativity out there, this has also been an incredible year in many positive ways—especially for our family.

The Good Stuff

The good news is that when it came to family in 2023, I have felt beyond fortunate. Our little family continued to grow and bond in all new ways this year—especially now that Naiya and Sadie are getting older. They’re learning more about what makes them come alive, and what they’re so much fun to be with Both girls are so creative, loud, confident, and artistic.

I feel like I blinked and my Pandemic baby/toddler are basically teenagers. Naiya is six and she’s learning so much in first grade. This is Sadie’s last year of preschool and I’m having a hard time with it. Where did my babies go?! I couldn’t love these photos of my girls more. My blog posts featuring my kids have slowly but surely become my way of trying to freeze time and create memories for them to look back on.

More end of year updates to come in future posts. I hope everyone is having happy holidays so far. Enjoy!
