French Style Inspo With Sezane

Yesterday, Phil and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. On one hand, I feel like we blinked and here we are…eight-years later. On the other, I looked back at our wedding photos and video yesterday with our now three and five-year-old daughters and 4.19.15 feels like a lifetime ago.

As I scrolled through this blog yesterday, reminiscing over wedding photos (here, here, here, and here), I also realized how much my style has changed in the past 8-years. Truth be told, a big part of me often cringes when I look back at old posts thinking about how proud I was to wear certain outfits I wouldn’t even entertain wearing in 2023. That said, I’m also so grateful to be able to revisit certain stops along my style journey, and there’s something so special about having it documented for my daughters to look back on some day. I can already hear them in their teenage years roasting some of most of my outfit choices but I’ll probably be right there with them!

Today, I’m sharing an outfit I’m wearing on repeat so far this year. It very much embodies the style I’ve been living in throughout 2023 so far. I’ve found myself getting inspired by timeless, French fashion, and I’ve been gravitating towards neutrals more than I used to. I’ve also found myself investing in pieces that will last me numerous seasons rather than jumping on the fast-fashion train like I did in my 20’s.

Since this is the first year I’m officially back in office, my wardrobe could not be happier. I’ve been donating my most-repeated athleisure outfits of the stay-at-home COVID era, and I’m embracing classic office wear again.

Outfit Of The Day

Today, I’m wearing a look mainly made up of Sezane pieces (alongside Sadie who dressed herself in a bunch of pieces from Naiya’s closet). Sezane is one of my favorite French-based brands that I can’t rave about enough. Each piece is beautifully-made and Parisian-chic (I recently wore this Sezane outfit here).

This silk white blouse is a closet staple I can’t get enough of. The material is soft and luxurious, the neckline is classic, and this blouse goes with just about everything. It reminds me of the blouses I used to scoop up from fast-fashion stores that may have looked cute and classic but the difference with this one is the quality. I was on the hunt for a blouse that could last for years to come and I can’t recommend this one enough.

Today, I tucked it into a pair of black trousers—my favorite pants of the moment for work. I layered on a chunky white cardigan by Sezane. I topped off the look with gold accents on my belt and black classic bag.

What are some of your favorite wardrobe staples of the moment? Tell me all the things and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!
