In a couple of weeks, my boyfriend and I will be traveling to Europe on vacation (or technically in two weeks and three days but who’s counting?). We will be visiting Berlin, Copenhagen, London and Paris and we could not be more excited. I’m on a mission to find a happy medium: comfy, supportive and chic shoes for our travels. Although these are not the easiest shoes to find, I’ve found a few so far which I’m really excited about, such as:

(A) Tory Burch Mae Booties. These booties do have a heel but they’re actually comfortable. I’m thinking they’re a great shoe for walking to dinner when we’re in Europe. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be wearing them to walk around all day, but they’re so classic that I think they’re a great investment, not to mention uber-chic.

(B) I’m also loving the colorful Nike Free Run Sneakers. They’re not at all fancy of course but I will definitely be bringing cute sneakers like these because they’re so comfy and practical!

(C) These Modern Vice Jett Classics are really classic and comfortable for travel. They do not have a heel so they are great for walking around in style and I can’t wait to snag a pair.

(D) I just bought myself a pair of these Jeffrey Campbell ‘Everly’ Booties and I could not be more excited to rock them in Europe. They are made of soft leather and I love the trendy cut-outs because they are versatile and cool enough for hot summer weather.

(E) I love London Sole Ballet Flats because they are so comfy, casual and practical. For this reason, I believe they are perfect to wear in cities like Paris and London.

(F) I think these Sperry Top Siders will be my go-to shoe for our trip this year. These shoes need some breaking in but I’ve been working on mine for weeks and they fit my feet like a glove. I especially love the arch support and the fact that I can wear them without socks and my feet still do not hurt at the end of the day.

I'm loving friendship bracelets this summer. Here's one I'm in the middle of making.
I’m loving friendship bracelets this summer. They add some bright and fun flair to any outfit. Check out one I’m in the middle of making.

When I was a kid, I would spend hours making colorful friendship bracelets. I’d try my hand at developing all different patterns that I hoped my fellow classmates would love (and I had huge glasses and looked very much like Little Miss Sunshine but that’s a whole other story). Next, I’d bring the bracelets into school to see if anyone would buy them for a couple bucks at lunch. Soon, I became a third grader with a mini side business. Those were the days! Recently, I’ve been seeing similar bracelets popping up all over Los Angeles-–in stores and at flea markets. Feeling nostalgic, I decided to pick up the art of designing these again. I am surprised that my hands remember exactly what to do. Here’s a sneak peak at a RELish friendship bracelet in the works. I’m challenging myself to complete it by tomorrow so we’ll see what happens. I’m updating its ’90′s look by adding some vintage studs I found at a local leather shop on Melrose Avenue here in Los Angeles. I can’t wait to post the finished product soon!
