Whenever a new baby is born to one of our family friends, my mom always calls me two seconds later asking for creative gift ideas for new mamas. After having Naiya, we were showered with the sweetest, most creative gifts from friends and family. I guess my mom assumes we’ve learned what new parents really need and she’s probably right! But at the end of the day, every new mom is different and coming up with the perfect gift is never easy. I do think I’ve found a pretty universal gift that new moms might not expect that they’ll end up cherishing for years to come. Sharing what this gift is with you today and where you can snag one at an affordable price too.
If you’ve been following along on my instagram recently, it’s no surprise that monochrome pantsuits and I are really having a moment. They’re so easy to throw on, they’re comfy and I love that they make me feel polished without too much extra effort. They also have a tendency to make me feel like a total boss lady–#winwin! Sharing some photos today featuring my favorite red pantsuit of the moment, along with some other power suits I currently have my eye on. If you’re in the market for a pant suit of your own, I’m excited to also tell you about a big sale happening online this week that will help you to snag one at a big discount. So excited to be teaming up with one of my favorite brands, Everlane today to tell you about the most comfy and timeless sweater I’ve been living in this season. Sharing how I dressed it up today for the holidays as well as full outfit details below. Sprinkling in a dose of my latest Naiya photos as well for the win. I can’t believe how big she’s getting! I literally took a double-take when I posted these photos wondering where my baby went. Doesn’t she look almost like a teenager below?! When did this happen? I’m sure I’ll be asking myself the same question from now on but who’s counting? #FirstTimeMomProblems.
I can’t believe how quickly December is flying by and that Naiya is officially 15 months old! She just made it through her first ear infection this week so we’ve been laying low. For the girl who almost always sleeps on schedule, putting her to bed this week was a million times harder! I’d put her in her crib half asleep and she’d wake right up and cry her eyes out while she clinged to me for dear life. Now that she’s on the mend, I’m excited to finally be able to sleep tonight without staring at the baby monitor every five minutes (new mamas, you know what I mean!). Sharing our latest outfit post with you today featuring one of my favorite skirts of the moment and the cutest hand-embroidered blue and white dress on Naiya. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for a 15 month baby update too.
Sharing one of my favorite basic weekend looks I’ve been wearing on repeat while running around town with Naiya. Not to sound completely cliche but now that I’m a mom, I rarely wear heels and these sneakers have become my go-to’s. I feel like I’m constantly running a marathon chasing after Naiya and sneakers help me to run around so much quicker. I love how they look when paired with this classic high-waisted denim skirt which I’ve previously worn here, here and here.
