Since football season is in full-swing, I was inspired to create the perfect game day outfit today using one of Fanatics’ NFL Jerseys. The Lions are my fiance’s favorite team (and today happens to also be his birthday) so it’s the perfect day to showcase my sporty Lions look. I happen to love the colors in this jersey so I built the rest of my ensemble around them: I added white Celine sunnies, as well as silver accents in my heels, earrings, and backpack. Who says you can’t be sporty, comfortable and fashionable at the same time?
The above look is made up of a bunch of items I’ve had my eye on for a while. I think that all of the pieces together make up a perfect day-to-night look. The Denim Jacket (now on sale!) helps to dress down the outfit for work and then the look can easily become more dressy for an evening out when you take off the jean jacket to wear the dress as is. I am loving the mix-and-matched gold accessories because each piece has a lot of character. I also have my eye on these beautiful Blush Pumps because they are so versatile and classic. Last but not least, the red Essie Nail Polish and Mac Lipstick really help to punch up this black ensemble.
Above, I’ve put together some of my favorite items I’m loving right now. I am loving the headband, belt and necklace on my list, because they are great statement pieces for the holiday season. I’m all about the sparkle right now, as long as it’s not too much. It’s important to wear these pieces with understated garments to they really pop.
The red dress above from Anthroplogie really caught my eye. I love that it’s such a glamorous maxi dress in a classic holiday color. I think the detailing is really girly and pretty and the frock is perfect for holiday parties.
As for the Vita Fede bracelet above, this is one designer I’ve become extremely excited about over the past few months. Each piece of jewelry from this collection, including the bracelets, are classy and understated with a bit of edge. For this reason, they are the types of bracelets you can wear with anything and they look great in layers.
The A-line mini skirt above has a really great cut to it. I tried it on a few weeks back and wish I had bought it because I’m still thinking about how great of an addition it would be to my wardrobe. I’ll keep it in mind for my next trip to Anthropologie for sure.
Last but not least, the pullover white sweater looks really comfy and cozy and even though I live in Los Angeles where it barely gets below 50 degrees in the winter, I am still a New Yorker at heart and I love to dress for the different seasons. This is a great piece that can be quite versatile–worn with leggings, skinny jeans, even a skirt. I love that you can dress it up with statement necklaces or layer it under your favorite leather jacket or blazer.
Los Angeles is so hot all summer, it’s hard to imagine a time when any of us will want to cover up in layers. Fall is coming, though, whether we like it or not, and as a native New Yorker, I always look forward to the temperatures dropping a bit so I can pull out my sweaters, leather jackets and boots again. I’m already getting inspired by upcoming fall fashions so here are some of my first picks of the season.
I’m loving jewelry by Vita Fede because the accessories are so classic and they’re great gold or silver accents to any outfit. I’m also into big chunky sweaters this coming season because they’re great for layering. Rag and Bone is one of those lines I am completely inspired by this coming season–from their classic comfy tees to their shoes. I love that their boots are not only chic and comfortable, they’re also made of soft leather. Although they’re a bit on the pricier side, these boots are staple items that last for years and will not go out of style. Another designer I greatly look up to is Rebecca Minkoff because her bags are so well-made, the leathers used are so soft, beautifully-designed and they add a great rocker-chic pop of color to any outfit. Last but not least, I’m loving leather shorts for Fall because they are such a great transitional piece to rock as the seasons change.
