Since many of us are still stuck in quarantine and dreaming of travel post COVID, we could all use a little digital getaway. Sharing some of our favorite snapshots from our babymoon in Kyoto, Japan exactly one year ago at the beautiful Yasaka Pagota in the Higashiyama District. The architecture throughout this city is so serene and relaxing, I can’t wait to go back someday (more here and here). We stayed right at the base of this incredible Pagota and waking up to this view was so memorable. In addition to these photos, sharing a basic comfy outfit for prego mamas who will someday be on the go again some day below.
Sharing some more photos from our babymoon in Maui a few weeks ago (check out our other posts here, here and here) and these are some of my favorites. On the last full day of our trip, Phil and I woke up at 2am to drive to the summit of the Haleakala Volcano to watch the sunrise. Since my morning sickness was still really bad, we had decided to pass on driving Maui’s famous Road to Hana earlier in our trip and this was our substitute adventure.
We started off day six of our Iceland road trip by visiting the beautiful Dettifoss waterfall. This was one of my favorite waterfalls of our trip because the day we were there, it was wrapped in a full rainbow.
The best part about Iceland is that everywhere you look, you’re completely mesmerized by the scenery around you. In Iceland, it’s truly never about your destination, it’s about the incredible scenery you get to take in throughout your entire road trip–from start to finish.
Phil and I have now been back in Los Angeles for about a week since our trip to Iceland. The trip inspired us both a great deal and really helped to put life into perspective–especially given the tragic news stories that have now surfaced in Orlando, Florida this week.
