Blogging away from a very rainy and chilly New York City. I’m still here on a production shoot and am moving onto another series that will be taking place near the Jersey Shore. I haven’t been to the Jersey Shore area since I was a kid and our entire family used to vacation there so I’m excited for the adventure. I’m hoping for some fist-pumping and GTL.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend! After a couple weekends in a row of traveling and having family in town on my end, it was nice to have a low-key, laid back weekend with my hubby and friends. Since many of us are LA transplants, we celebrated our dads from a far. Summer is officially here in Los Angeles–it was over 100 degrees this weekend and we’re already melting.
Sometimes you just have to let your inner rocker out. That’s what I was feeling when I styled today’s outfit. I usually love pairing leather jackets with simple basics but today, I went full-rocker. I paired my studded leather jacket with a new band tee Phil and I picked up at the recent Florence and The Machines concert at LA’s Hollywood Bowl.
My fiance and I took a weekend trip to Hearst Castle this weekend and I’m so happy we did. Hearst Castle was William Randolph Hearst’s private estate and it’s located in central California–about 3.5 hours outside of Los Angeles. The estate was decorated for the holidays and it was so beautiful; it really felt like we went abroad for the weekend.
I can’t believe summer is just about over. Thankfully, I live in Los Angeles so I don’t have to worry about prepping for super cold weather. That said, I started reorganizing my closet for the transition to fall this week and I was excited to break out this comfy quilted leather jacket by Rebecca Minkoff.
