It’s hard to believe we’re already more than half way through February. I feel like we were ringing in the New Year two seconds ago and I was setting my goals for 2019. Every year around this time, I check in with myself. Have I completely thrown away my resolutions already or am I still sticking to them? One resolution I’ve realized I really need to work on this year is simplifying my life. Once 2019 hit and I went back to work, I feel like I’ve been on autopilot. I’m constantly exhausted, I’m calm on the outside but overwhelmed on the inside and I never feel like there’s enough time in the day to get everything done on my to do list. If this sounds familiar to you too, today’s post is for you. I’m rounding up five ways to simplify your life no matter how overwhelmed you may be. For the next few months, I’m going to challenge myself to stick to all five and I’ll report back to share how it goes.
I don’t know about you but I absolutely dread grocery shopping. As a full-time working mom, I’m often racking my brain to figure out exactly when other moms find the time to shop, learn recipes and cook. None of these things are my forte but surely, these moms must have some sort of secret! Now that I have an almost one-and-a-half year old, I know it’s time for me to get this grocery shopping thing together (it took me long enough)! Thankfully, I think I’ve finally found a service to help me that I can’t get enough of. Excited to share more about this with you today because fellow mamas who can’t stand grocery shopping: hopefully this will have you covered too.
I can’t believe Naiya is 17-months and will be turning a year-and-a-half on the 30th. I keep blinking and months seem to be flashing right by. Naiya is growing like crazy and her little thigh rolls are starting to slim out (cue the ugly tears!) She’s a full-out toddler now and I find myself scrolling through her photos from a few months ago wondering where our baby went. Rounding up our outfits of the day today as well as a mom and baby update.
Powering up for the rest of the week by cuddling my O.G. fluff baby, Winston and sipping some delicious tea before the day gets too crazy. Let’s face it: this pup needed some extra attention on le blog because Naiya has definitely been stealing his spotlight since she’s been born! Dog mama’s: once you had babies, did you feel tons of guilt about not being able to cuddle with your pup as much? If so, I’m right there with you! Today, I’m sharing a couple of ways I’ve been detoxing over the past couple of weeks. I was feeling like I was dragging after the holidays so part of my new year’s resolution was to try a couple of detoxes I’ve never tried before. From the most amazing juice cleanse to a detox tea you need to know about, I’m rounding up all the things for you below.
I had the privilege of speaking on a panel for Syracuse University recently and it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in a long time. I was able to chat with college juniors and seniors studying out here in LA for the semester as they geared up to apply for their first jobs. If these kids are any indication of our future, I left feeling like will be in great hands. They’re smart, they’re positive thinkers and they want to make a difference. Since I haven’t shared too much about my work life outside of RELish with you here, this particular panel inspired me to open up a bit more about it. So without further ado, today, I’m sharing my favorite secrets on how to nail your first job in Hollywood. If you read this and you do end up making it, I ask only that you continue to pay it forward, that you always stay humble and most importantly, that you hire Naiya as your assistant someday.
