Throughout the quarantine so far, I’ve kept a running list of the toys and crafts that have kept Naiya happy and entertained (and me sane!). Most days, I’m literally not sure what I’d do without them. Sharing our top 20 picks out of everything we’ve tried so far. It’s our hope that your toddlers will love them too (and that you’ll get at least five extra minutes of “me” time while they’re busy playing)! All of the product images below are clickable and I’m linking to everything at the bottom of this post too. Hope you’re all safe, healthy and hanging in there!
We’re officially almost three weeks into our quarantine and it’s hard to believe that social distancing is here to stay for the foreseeable future. To take mind off of all the anxiety, I’ve been doing a lot of online window shopping. One of my favorite places to do this is through ASOS–an online retailer that truly has ALL the things. ASOS has so many options at amazing price points, you could literally search through it for hours and never come across the same look twice. Today, I’m helping to silence the noise. I’m featuring an ASOS dress I’ve been living in lately as well as my latest ASOS wish list for all the comfy things you should know about.
At a time when everything seems so uncertain, I’ve found myself snuggling my girls even tighter than ever (with clean hands!). Naturally, I can’t get enough of this Lillebaby carrier right now because it allows me to do just that. We snapped these pictures before we were quarantined to our homes here in Los Angeles pre-coronavirus. That said, I’ve been wearing this carrier on repeat at home for days now and I’m loving that it allows me to be hands-free for conference calls. Excited to team up with the Lillebaby team today to gift one RELish reader a carrier of their own. Scroll down to read how to enter!
Naiya has officially fallen in love with her baby sister, Sadie. The only problem? Sometimes, she loves her TOO much. Naiya has a tendency of leaning into Sadie to give her big hugs and kisses but within seconds, she ends up getting too aggressive. I end up having to watch Sadie like a hawk because even though she doesn’t know her own strength, I know Naiya could accidentally hurt Sadie. Naiya loves going in for her face and head (cue the new mama heart palpitations!). Figuring out how to get through to Naiya in a constructive way has been a big learning curve for us but we’re getting closer! For other mamas and mamas-to-be in the same boat, I’m rounding up a few ways we’ve been combatting sibling rivalry that have worked for us so far.
I planned on sharing our maternity photos before Sadie was born but since the past weeks have been such a blur, excited to finally share now! Better late than never! Naiya, Phil and myself had so much fun snapping these a few weeks back while we dreamed about what our family of four would be like. Throughout the shoot, I remember feeling like I was about to pop and wondered how much longer Sadie could possibly stay in my belly. She was clearly running out of room in there and I couldn’t wait for her to come out! Looking back at these photos now, though, dare I say I actually already miss the bump?! I had such a tough pregnancy where I was very sick and threw up every day and yet I still look back at this time missing it! Am I crazy?
