At a time when everything seems so uncertain, I’ve found myself snuggling my girls even tighter than ever (with clean hands!). Naturally, I can’t get enough of this Lillebaby carrier right now because it allows me to do just that. We snapped these pictures before we were quarantined to our homes here in Los Angeles pre-coronavirus. That said, I’ve been wearing this carrier on repeat at home for days now and I’m loving that it allows me to be hands-free for conference calls. Excited to team up with the Lillebaby team today to gift one RELish reader a carrier of their own. Scroll down to read how to enter!
Naiya has officially fallen in love with her baby sister, Sadie. The only problem? Sometimes, she loves her TOO much. Naiya has a tendency of leaning into Sadie to give her big hugs and kisses but within seconds, she ends up getting too aggressive. I end up having to watch Sadie like a hawk because even though she doesn’t know her own strength, I know Naiya could accidentally hurt Sadie. Naiya loves going in for her face and head (cue the new mama heart palpitations!). Figuring out how to get through to Naiya in a constructive way has been a big learning curve for us but we’re getting closer! For other mamas and mamas-to-be in the same boat, I’m rounding up a few ways we’ve been combatting sibling rivalry that have worked for us so far.
I planned on sharing our maternity photos before Sadie was born but since the past weeks have been such a blur, excited to finally share now! Better late than never! Naiya, Phil and myself had so much fun snapping these a few weeks back while we dreamed about what our family of four would be like. Throughout the shoot, I remember feeling like I was about to pop and wondered how much longer Sadie could possibly stay in my belly. She was clearly running out of room in there and I couldn’t wait for her to come out! Looking back at these photos now, though, dare I say I actually already miss the bump?! I had such a tough pregnancy where I was very sick and threw up every day and yet I still look back at this time missing it! Am I crazy?
Dressing the bump for weddings and other fancy occasions isn’t always the easiest. It’s hard to pick the dresses out in advance because you never know what size you’ll be. They also tend to be extra expensive. I attended a wedding this weekend at almost 7 months pregnant and it took me forever to find an outfit I felt comfortable in. For anyone else in the same boat, linking to my favorite black tutu skirt that fits really well over the bump as well as some other bump-friendly dresses I’m loving right now. Enjoy!
This pregnancy is flying by and my bump is getting bigger by the day. As a second time mama to be, truth be told, I’m not paying as much attention to every pregnancy detail as I did when I was pregnant with Naiya. I don’t always know exactly how many weeks (days and hours) pregnant I am or what size vegetable this baby is as I did last pregnancy. Instead, this time around, it’s all about keeping up with Naiya, making sure I make it through every work day in one piece and everything in between! As overwhelmed as I’ve felt recently, one thing that makes me feel better is having fun styling the bump. I’ve noticed I feel so much better when I feel a bit put together each day. Sharing one of my favorite dresses of the moment that’s comfy for pregnancy and beyond (and it’s currently on sale!). I’m excited to also round up nine other summer dresses I’m eyeing that are bump-friendly even though they’re not maternity. Non-pregos, all of the below picks should work for you too!
