RELISH GOES TO LONDON

I lived in London when I studied abroad back in college but this was my first trip back since. I visited the street I lived on which was called Hallam Street near Regents park. This was the view from our flat's front door.

PREPPING FOR EUROPE TRIP

My boyfriend and I are leaving for a 10 day European trip in a couple of days and we couldn't be more excited. We're flying from Los Angeles into Berlin and will then be traveling to Copenhagen, London and Paris, before eventually flying back to Berlin and ultimately, back to Los Angeles. We are proud to be frugal travelers who plan the trips of our dreams for a fraction of the cost. We took a similar trip last year to Switzerland and Italy and we were hooked. Our trick is booking travel months and months early by tracking flight costs on sites like momondo.com. This year, we nailed round trip tickets to Berlin from LA for $700 a piece, which was amazing. We did the same research for hotel rooms and further travel within Europe. I'll be writing as much as possible throughout our journey. We can't wait to get out there.

TRAVEL SHOE INSPIRATION

In a couple of weeks, my boyfriend and I will be traveling to Europe on vacation (or technically in two weeks and three days but who’s counting?). We will be visiting Berlin, Copenhagen, London and Paris and we could not be more excited. I’m on a mission to find a happy medium: comfy, supportive and chic shoes for our travels. Although these are not the easiest shoes to find, I’ve found a few so far which I’m really excited about, such as:

(A) Tory Burch Mae Booties. These booties do have a heel but they’re actually comfortable. I’m thinking they’re a great shoe for walking to dinner when we’re in Europe. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be wearing them to walk around all day, but they’re so classic that I think they’re a great investment, not to mention uber-chic.

(B) I’m also loving the colorful Nike Free Run Sneakers. They’re not at all fancy of course but I will definitely be bringing cute sneakers like these because they’re so comfy and practical!

(C) These Modern Vice Jett Classics are really classic and comfortable for travel. They do not have a heel so they are great for walking around in style and I can’t wait to snag a pair.

(D) I just bought myself a pair of these Jeffrey Campbell ‘Everly’ Booties and I could not be more excited to rock them in Europe. They are made of soft leather and I love the trendy cut-outs because they are versatile and cool enough for hot summer weather.

(E) I love London Sole Ballet Flats because they are so comfy, casual and practical. For this reason, I believe they are perfect to wear in cities like Paris and London.

(F) I think these Sperry Top Siders will be my go-to shoe for our trip this year. These shoes need some breaking in but I’ve been working on mine for weeks and they fit my feet like a glove. I especially love the arch support and the fact that I can wear them without socks and my feet still do not hurt at the end of the day.
