Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale runs now through June 6th! This sale features limited-time discounts of up to 50% off women’s, men’s, kids + home products–aka ALL the things. I’m especially loving this sale right now because my closet feels like it needs a refresh after quarantine. That said, I’m all about an AFFORDABLE refresh with a lot of basics. From Levis and Ray Ban to Adidas and Madewell, here are some of my fave sales picks (all clickable above!).
This was my first mommy-daughter weekend entirely on my own since Naiya was born. Phil was out of town on a business trip and it was the first time we didn’t plan for family or friends to come and help us out. Let’s face it: 8-months in, it was time for me to bite the bullet! I’m lucky I made it this far. That said, I was completely anxious that I wouldn’t be able to juggle it all without Phil.
Now that I’m a mom, getting ready in the morning has become a much bigger challenge. I used to get up slowly, leisurely pick out my outfit of the day, go on a long run and shower. Those were the days…and those days are long gone. The more mobile Naiya is getting, the less time I have to pick out outfits and the less time I have to make myself look presentable (let alone shower!). Thankfully, over the past few weeks, I think I’ve found the secret to getting dressed quickly: curating a “capsule collection.” Hello, game changer!
When I first found out I was pregnant, I was convinced I was having a boy. Even when our ultra sound technician and OB confirmed that we were having a girl, I still couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t until Naiya finally came out that I realized it was time to start accessorizing away. I hadn’t bought a thing for her yet at that point and I couldn’t wait to start. Naiya’s style has since run the gamut from completely gender-neutral all the way to full-out girly girl. Today, we went with the latter and accessorized with all pink everything because I couldn’t help myself. Sharing a mom and baby look with you today that I’m already excited to look back on someday.
