SNAPSHOTS FROM KYOTO, JAPAN

Our new social distancing normal has already taught me so much. I’ve learned how much the outside world feeds my inner soul and creativity. I’ve further discovered how important it is to truly savor time with my babies because their happiness and well-being are my life’s purpose. I’ve also come to understand the level to which travel and culture are important to me. Over the past five weeks or so, I’ve found myself hungrier than ever to get out and see the world again. In the meantime, I’ve found solace in rounding up some unpublished travel shots with you. We snapped these in Kyoto, Japan last year when I was four months prego with Sadie on our baby moon. Including some travel tips from our trip as well as links to one of my favorite outfits for traveling while prego below. I hope you enjoy!

THE CHILDREN’S PLACE: MOMMY & ME LOOKS

I never thought I’d be “that” mom who bought matching outfits for her daughters AND herself. Growing up, my mom used to dress my sister and I in matching outfits but it was the 90’s, we were seven years apart and I remember feeling so not cute and pretty mortified. But truth be told, 12 weeks into becoming a mama of two, I’ve officially become my mother! I’m finding the whole matching family outfit thing to be kind of addicting and fun! Who am I?!

5 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS I’M STILL STICKING TO

Los Angeles fashion blogger, RELish By Arielle wears an ASOS metallic dress

Hello 2020! Halfway through January, I’ve finally gotten my act together enough to share my new year’s resolutions with you.  My hands have been so full with Sadie and Naiya over the past few months, the days keep melting away. Trying to savor all of the cuddles while not beating myself up too much about not being as productive as usual. After all, having the chance to sit behind my computer to type or get anything done for that matter has been so much more difficult than it was with only one baby! Mamas, can you relate? Excited to round up my top 5 new year’s resolutions below in hopes  that in writing them down, I’ll actually be able to continue sticking to them. Hoping that in sharing them, they’ll inspire you too.

NEW YEAR’S EVE OUTFIT INSPO

I hope everyone had such a wonderful Christmas! After many weeks of planning for the big day, it went by so quickly and was such a blur!  I didn’t grow up celebrating Christmas so the holiday always feels so new to me and truth-be-told, a bit overwhelming!  In the end, Naiya had a blast ripping open her gifts and afterwards, we had a great time relaxing with family.  We can’t believe that New Year’s Eve is just around the corner!  Sharing outfit details for one of my all-time favorite New Year’s Eve dresses below, as well some others I’ve had my eye on for all different types of NYE celebrations.

HOW TO SURVIVE YOUR FIRST WEEKEND ALONE WITH BABY

This was my first mommy-daughter weekend entirely on my own since Naiya was born.  Phil was out of town on a business trip and it was the first time we didn’t plan for family or friends to come and help us out.  Let’s face it: 8-months in, it was time for me to bite the bullet!  I’m lucky I made it this far. That said, I was completely anxious that I wouldn’t be able to juggle it all without Phil.
