I was so excited to attend a friend’s wedding last weekend but I couldn’t figure out what to wear until the last minute. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I happened upon the LA-based vintage boutique, The Way We Wore and scored this amazing 1950’s LBD. I had walked past this boutique many times before and although I had stopped to stare at the amazing vintage gowns in its window, until last week, I never actually had a chance to go inside.
I can never get enough of little black dresses and this one is so comfortable and easy to throw on, it’s one of my new favorites. Today happens to be a warm fall day in Los Angeles so I wore this dress as is without layering it up. As the weather starts to get slightly cooler, I look forward to adding leather jackets or blazers over this LBD for work. On a personal note, I am excited to announce that I said ‘yes to the dress’ this week for my upcoming April wedding!
The above look is made up of a bunch of items I’ve had my eye on for a while. I think that all of the pieces together make up a perfect day-to-night look. The Denim Jacket (now on sale!) helps to dress down the outfit for work and then the look can easily become more dressy for an evening out when you take off the jean jacket to wear the dress as is. I am loving the mix-and-matched gold accessories because each piece has a lot of character. I also have my eye on these beautiful Blush Pumps because they are so versatile and classic. Last but not least, the red Essie Nail Polish and Mac Lipstick really help to punch up this black ensemble.
