In honor of New York Fashion Week, I’m sharing some of my latest fashion illustrations with you today. These looks are based off of some of my favorite colors and silhouettes of the moment for fall. I’m currently loving royal colors–deep reds, purples and touches of orange.
I’m excited to share some new pages out of my fashion sketchbook with you this week. I recently illustrated this summer street style outfit made up of skinny jeans, espadrilles and a bright pink tank. Relaxed summer looks like this have been my go-to most recently–especially on the weekends.
Happy Tuesday! I’m excited to share the latest fashion illustration from my sketchbook with you today. It’s inspired by supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner’s Balmain looks from Paris Fashion Week. When I first saw these looks, I couldn’t wait to illustrate them. Kendall’s dress has extra volume at the hips and it reminds me of a dramatic costume from ‘The Hunger Games.’ The texture and color are so beautiful that I couldn’t get it out of my head. I also love how Gigi’s outfit is made up of color-blocked shades of blush–none of which actually match but all of which work really well together. I also love the vertical stripes in her cape.
I’ve always looked forward to Award Season in Hollywood because the gowns have inspired me so much since I was a kid. This year has been no exception. When I first saw Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift floating down the Grammys red carpet, I couldn’t wait to illustrate their looks. I loved Taylor’s vibrant color blocking and Selena’s glamorous sequins. The two gowns complimented each other so beautifully and their colors really popped next to one another.
I had the pleasure of attending Syracuse University with an amazingly talented entrepreneur name Kristine Deer. Even back in college, I remember that Kristine was talented beyond her years–she was always sewing and sketching away and she was always able to seamlessly construct her designs so beautifully. She later went onto launch K-Deer, her own line of “haute yogawear” out of New York and I’ve been following along from LA ever since.
