August 24th was our daughter’s official due date but she’s still apparently very comfortable and is cooking away! The past two nights, I’ve had really intense contractions that were so bad, I was convinced they were the real deal and we needed to head to the hospital. That said, since they were not happening in repetitive intervals and they were kind of all over the place, we knew the hospital wouldn’t admit us yet.
I can’t believe our due date is just one week away–and then at the same time, I can’t believe I’m still pregnant! This pregnancy has felt so long but the last month or so has dragged on slower than ever. I guess that’s what happens when you’re waiting for one of the most exciting and nerve-racking moments of your life to come.
One of my best friends recently tied the knot in the most beautiful fairytale wedding in Malibu. Before she knew we were pregnant, she had asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and I didn’t think twice before of course saying yes! As the months of our pregnancy passed by, while I couldn’t wait to be a part of her special day, it became increasingly real to me that I’d have to squeeze into a bridesmaid’s dress at over 8-months pregnant. As my bump continued to grow, I came to realize that this would not be as easy a task as I had thought back in my first trimester.
Happy Monday! So thankful for a relatively restful weekend after so much travel for work. I finally feel like Phil and I are starting to check things off of our ever-growing baby to-do list and it feels amazing. We’ve signed up for a bunch of prenatal and childbirth classes over the next few weeks at LA’s The Pump Station and Cedars Sinai, we’ve officially created our registry and we’re slowly starting to pack for our move at the end of the month into our new home.
After another couple weeks of traveling on the east coast, I have finally landed back in LA! This trip was bittersweet because it was my last big production trip before baby. I’m just about to enter my third trimester (time is flying!) and even though it’s going to be hard for me, I’m going to try to slow everything down at least a bit.
