This is one of the first New Year’s Phil and I will not be spending on the east coast. His sister had her first baby this year (he’s so cute!) so his whole family flew out here in Los Angeles to celebrate. While I’m sad that we don’t get to celebrate the holidays at home, one of the pluses to staying out in Los Angeles is that I can wear almost anything I want to for New Year’s Eve without having to think about bundling up as I usually do. When I saw this light-weight, comfy gold jumpsuit, I couldn’t wait to wear it for the occasion.

ELEPHANT PANTS + FEDORA
I was first introduced to Elephant Pants when my husband’s family came back from vacationing in Thailand and they gifted us these colorful pants of pure goodness. Not only are they the most comfy and versatile pants I now own, every pair purchased also helps raise funding to protect elephants and other wildlife from poachers.
GOLDEN GLOBES INSPO
It’s been such a busy few weeks for Phil and I–we were busy traveling for the holidays and in the past week alone, we’ve also attended two weddings–one on the east coast and one back home in LA. Both weddings were for some of our best friends and they were so beautiful. Fashion and beauty-wise, I always love getting creative and adding an extra touch of glam for events like weddings–especially during award season in LA because I get inspired. Likewise, I’m excited to share one of my favorite gowns I’ve ever worn with you today which is perfect for winter and spring weddings alike, not to mention any sort of red carpet or black tie event in your neck of the woods.
SCARF + LEATHER LOVE
In my recent closet clean-out, I was excited to find some of my favorite vintage scarves tucked deep in a corner that I hadn’t worn in a long time. This YSL scarf was originally tucked deep in a corner of mom’s closet but I promised years ago that I would bring it back to life.
MAXI + BIRKS
I lived in this outfit this weekend and loved every minute. This black maxi skirt has become my weekend go-to because it’s so comfy, easy to throw on and I love that it can be dressed up or down. I dressed it down with a comfy pair of Birkenstocks that I’ve now worn in so well, they fit my feet like a glove. I layered on my favorite black leather jacket for some extra edge and wrapped a flannel around my waist for a pop of pattern.
