Since many of us are still stuck in quarantine and dreaming of travel post COVID, we could all use a little digital getaway. Sharing some of our favorite snapshots from our babymoon in Kyoto, Japan exactly one year ago at the beautiful Yasaka Pagota in the Higashiyama District. The architecture throughout this city is so serene and relaxing, I can’t wait to go back someday (more here and here). We stayed right at the base of this incredible Pagota and waking up to this view was so memorable. In addition to these photos, sharing a basic comfy outfit for prego mamas who will someday be on the go again some day below.
Happy New Year, Everyone! Phil and I rang in 2016 surrounded by some of my oldest childhood friends and closest family members at my best friend’s wedding in Washington D.C. Seeing my first best friend in the world so happy and in love was the perfect way to kick off the year.
My outfit today was inspired by a book I read this weekend: Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. It’s a quick read that teaches you how to organize, clean and simplify your life like never before and I definitely leaned in. I got so inspired that I decided to try the methods I learned out on my own closet and now there’s no turning back (my living room, kitchen and every closet in my house are next!).
It’s now been one month since our big day and I’m realizing as each day passes that post-wedding life can be very bittersweet. On one hand, we’re so happy to be married and are so thankful that wedding planning is finally over–we feel so lucky!
