HOW TO SPOT: THE COMFIEST PREGNANCY DRESS

Happy Monday from the east coast! I’m on the last big trip I’m allowed to take during my pregnancy before I can no longer fly and I’m enjoying every minute. It’s crazy to think that this will be my last time traveling before I’m a officially a mom and there’s something so special about that. I’ve enjoyed the freedom of being able to pick everything up and go at the drop of a hat throughout my career so far and I’m doing my best to mentally prepare myself for the next couple of years (and beyond!) of having more responsibility at home (and keeping a tiny human alive and healthy!).  As I write this, I’m looking around at moms throughout JFK airport who are juggling infants, giant mom bags and they look super stressed out. I can barely wrap my head around it all right now but of course I am excited for this next chapter.

THIS WEEK IN RELISH FASHION

I made this DIY necklace by cutting some ultra suede leather fabric into the shape of a collar. I then sewed a bunch of different seed beads and charms onto the front portion of the necklace. I glued a silver chain to the back of the fabric and cut an identical collar-shape out of the fabric to glue to the back of the necklace. It's really light and comfortable and I love that it dresses up a simple shirt.

Next, I glued a silver chain to the back of the fabric to create the actual necklace. I then went ahead and cut an identical collar-shape to the original one out of the fabric so that I could glue it to the back of the necklace. In the end, it’s really light and comfortable and I love that it dresses up any simple shirt.
Here's another view of my fur wrap. I just took a trip to San Francisco and it was perfect both on the plane and when I landed for some extra old Hollywood glam and warmth.
I took a trip to San Francisco this week and this vintage fox fur was perfect both on the plane and when I landed in the city. I originally found it at a Los Angeles flea market but it really has come in handy. I love that it adds some extra old Hollywood glam, not to mention warmth.
I found this vintage fox wrap at a flea market here in Los Angeles. In the colder months (and yes, we do have some colder months in SoCal), I wear it all the time.
Here is another view of my vintage fox wrap. I love wearing it all winter even though I live in SoCal.
I love wearing my hair in a top knot because it is so easy to do and takes only a few minutes. I am obsessed with this JCrew Necklace because it dresses up any look--even just a t-shirt or simple sweater. I'm also obsessed with my Rag and Bone black harrow booties. They were definitely an investment but I literally wear them almost everyday and they are super comfy. My nails this week were very simple--just a classic french mani.

This weekend, my friends and I decided to continue to celebrate yet another gorgeous summer weekend in SoCal by having a D.I.Y. BBQ with our friends here in Los Angeles. The BBQ was at the beautiful home of Aimee Song (check out her amazing fashion blog, Song Of Style–if you do not yet read it, you will be hooked!) and her boyfriend, Wes Mason.  It was the perfect way to sit back, relax and enjoy our Sunday evening. Appetizers were cut up fruit and the entree included BBQ mixed veggie skewers. Later on in the evening, we roasted marshmallows and made smores over a cute tiled fire pit.

Wes and Aimee built their own D.I.Y. deck last week with a built-in bench and custom cushions that we all lounged on. Aimee created her own amazing Moroccan pillows for extra comfort and pops of summer color. When it started getting dark outside, we hooked up a projector and created our own makeshift outdoor movie theater. We projected the film, ‘Super Troopers’ onto a white wall. It was the perfect summer evening and a wonderful way to end the weekend and gear up for the work week. I’ll be dreaming of smores and fire-pits until next weekend.
