I am flying back to Los Angeles from Texas today, where I’ve been on location filming a shoot. It’s been a really busy few days and I’m so happy to take a breath. Whenever I’m traveling, I always wear layers that are easy to take off whenever the plane gets too cold or it’s too hot when I land.
This white button-down is one of my favorite pieces in my closet because it’s so versatile and it’s a piece that will never go out of style. Basics are such great pieces to invest in because they’re so easy to style in numerous different ways.
I have now been living in LA for over seven years and I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by. I loved the feeling I had when I first moved to LA–everything was new and exciting and there were so many places to explore. Since it’s easy to get too comfortable in any city you live in for a bunch of years in a row, I do my best to scope out new things to do and I love exploring new neighborhoods so that I can always keep a fresh outlook. This weekend, I got inspired by a beautiful neighborhood near my house that is full of luxurious mansions from the early 1920’s.
I love adding pops of color to my outfits–especially during fall and winter–when most people gravitate towards wearing dark, muted colors instead. I borrowed this sweater blazer from my sister, Adena. I saw her wearing it one day and couldn’t wait to style it; I love mixing and matching our styles. The sweater is really comfortable and I love how bright it is. Today, I paired it with my favorite black tee from Marine Layer, along with black booties by Rag and Bone that have become my go-to fall shoes again this season. I topped off the look with my favorite 360 Pearl Earrings.
I’m loving the color blush right now, and the fact that I’ve been able to use my blush staples like this blouse as such great transition pieces into fall. I added some more blush accents to my outfit today–in my watch and pearl earrings as well. To show off the earrings, I swept my hair into a messy ponytail. I topped off my look by adding a pop of color with my purse.
