I’ve made it a point to work out daily throughout this quarantine so far and it’s done wonders for my psyche. Exercising each morning before work helps to keep me focused, shapes my day and helps me to create a healthy routine. Since we’re all stuck inside #alonetogether and we’re trying to stay as safe as possible, I’m rounding up my favorite free workout apps I’ve been loving lately. Hoping the below list will help you too!
Truthfully, I’m not sure where to begin this blog post. Since coronavirus has broken out all over the world, many of us have found ourselves quarantined to our homes. Millions are expected to become extremely ill, freedom as we knew it feels like it has vanished overnight and everything else has quickly started to feel so trivial. But, in the spirit of trying to inspire and keep our minds in as positive a place as possible, I’ve been trying to think of some ways I may be able to help in even the smallest of ways. So, as someone who has always emoted through writing and through creating, I’m excited to share tips for working from home today while you have kids in tow.
After weeks of gray, rainy weekends here in usual sunny California, the sun came out this weekend and it finally felt like spring. It’s been the perfect weather to wear some transitional pieces recently–especially in terms of workout wear. Sharing one of my favorite athleisure outfit combos with you today as well as some recent photos of Naiya. My mini is continuing to grow like a weed and I’m so not ready! That long hair! Doesn’t she look like a teenager in these photos?!
I don’t know about you but I absolutely dread grocery shopping. As a full-time working mom, I’m often racking my brain to figure out exactly when other moms find the time to shop, learn recipes and cook. None of these things are my forte but surely, these moms must have some sort of secret! Now that I have an almost one-and-a-half year old, I know it’s time for me to get this grocery shopping thing together (it took me long enough)! Thankfully, I think I’ve finally found a service to help me that I can’t get enough of. Excited to share more about this with you today because fellow mamas who can’t stand grocery shopping: hopefully this will have you covered too.
Last week, I finally had the chance to paint for the first time since Naiya was born. It was only for about an hour but I walked away feeling like I found a little piece of my pre-baby self again. It made me realize just how much my life has chanced since becoming a mom and how much harder it’s been to give my creative passions as much attention as I’d like. Between mom-ing hard, commuting to work and #girlbossing, I barely have enough time to breathe, let alone create. This has been driving me crazy!
