When I first saw this dress, it was love at first sight. I was drawn to its a-line cut, its embroidery and pops of blue, green and pink. It happened to be a really warm day in LA today so I was excited to wear this dress without a jacket. However, as it starts to get a bit cooler here, I look forward to layering a leather jacket over this look to add a pop of edge. I kept my accessories simple to allow my dress to pop and I added milkmaid braids in my hair.
I have now been living in LA for over seven years and I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by. I loved the feeling I had when I first moved to LA–everything was new and exciting and there were so many places to explore. Since it’s easy to get too comfortable in any city you live in for a bunch of years in a row, I do my best to scope out new things to do and I love exploring new neighborhoods so that I can always keep a fresh outlook. This weekend, I got inspired by a beautiful neighborhood near my house that is full of luxurious mansions from the early 1920’s.
I can’t take my eyes off this season’s “it” bags–from bucket bags to backpacks and everything in between. Above, I’ve handpicked some of my favorite looks out there right now. I am loving fancy black backpacks like the Stella McCartney, Tory Burch and Chanel bags above. I’m also loving this classy tan Tory Burch bag, which almost looks like a mini suitcase. It’s perfect for work and I love that the color and design make the bag so versatile.
Happy Friday, Everyone! Shopaholics, get ready: the Nordstrom Anniversary sale opens to the public today. There are tons of great deals for you to get your hands on so I’ve decided to compile a short list of some of my favorite looks above. I am especially loving the great skirt and crop top combos here and here which are currently a steal.
