Our family has officially fallen in love with JetKids by Stokke–a brand that makes traveling fun, easier (and chic!) for your minis. I first came across JetKid’s colorful ride-on suitcases, soft merino wool blankets and spacious travel backpacks on IG. The products were SO memorable and functional, I knew our girls HAD to have them too. After all, traveling with our kids as much as possible is part of our family’s DNA (more here and here). Sharing my favorite JetKids products with you today, breaking down how they work, and sharing some photos of Naiya and Sadie obsessing over them. At this point, we literally can’t imagine traveling without JetKid’s line so I’m excited to share our review. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for a 25% off discount code!
I recently shared some BIG family news: we’re currently in escrow on our first house WITH A YARD! While buying a home with a yard may seem completely attainable throughout many parts of the country, it can feel impossible in LA. The housing market here is currently out of control and the prices are outrageous. I can’t believe we may soon be homeowners rather than townhouse owners (as we are now!).
I’m feeling like a super mama this week. After a number of sleepless nights, I made it through two cross-country flights with Naiya and Sadie (without Phil!) in these crazy uncertain times. We were masked, armed with sanitizer, snacks, toys, toddler headphones–ALL the things. Rounding up tips and tricks I learned along the way in hopes that they’ll help you and your family too during these uncertain times.
One year ago, Phil and I were on our babymoon in Japan. What a difference a year makes! Now, we’re dreaming of a day when we’ll be able to safely leave our homes, let alone travel. After all, COVID-19 has hit us all like a ton of bricks. Since I’ve been dreaming of traveling a lot recently, sharing some more unpublished photos with you today which we snapped in Kyoto’s beautiful Bamboo Forest (I recently shared more Japan shots here).
Our new social distancing normal has already taught me so much. I’ve learned how much the outside world feeds my inner soul and creativity. I’ve further discovered how important it is to truly savor time with my babies because their happiness and well-being are my life’s purpose. I’ve also come to understand the level to which travel and culture are important to me. Over the past five weeks or so, I’ve found myself hungrier than ever to get out and see the world again. In the meantime, I’ve found solace in rounding up some unpublished travel shots with you. We snapped these in Kyoto, Japan last year when I was four months prego with Sadie on our baby moon. Including some travel tips from our trip as well as links to one of my favorite outfits for traveling while prego below. I hope you enjoy!
