When I first saw this dress, it was love at first sight. I was drawn to its a-line cut, its embroidery and pops of blue, green and pink. It happened to be a really warm day in LA today so I was excited to wear this dress without a jacket. However, as it starts to get a bit cooler here, I look forward to layering a leather jacket over this look to add a pop of edge. I kept my accessories simple to allow my dress to pop and I added milkmaid braids in my hair.
I have been sketching away a lot lately and the above fashion illustration was a fun one to create. The inspiration behind it actually came from Project Runway because I love how the designers on the show are always tasked with creating garments out of some crazy materials.
I built today’s outfit out of my favorite pair of black boots. I can’t get enough of them and I especially love pairing them with skirts. Today, I added a pop of color to my otherwise neutral look with my mirror sunnies and turquoise bag.
