A week and a half into our quarantine, I’ve been making it a point to create as much normalcy throughout my day as possible. It’s the least I can do throughout all of this uncertainty while balancing work and kids at home! One way I’ve been doing this is by making sure I actually get dressed in the morning. The first few days working from home last week, I wore a lot of sweatpants on repeat. This ended up getting old because I realized pretty quickly that they were making me feel sluggish and unproductive. Sharing a dress with you today that I’ve been living in instead. It’s just as comfy as sweats but it looks and feels more presentable–especially on all of my zoom conference calls (AKA the new normal)! Styling it two different ways below while social distancing.
We snapped these photos a few weeks ago when Sadie and I had a date at the beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel. It was a couple of days before I went back to work from maternity leave and I remember feeling so nervous! At that point, I hadn’t been away from Sadie for more than an hour or two here and there and I was trying to wrap my head around what our new normal might look like. Looking back, it’s crazy that at this point, coronavirus was not yet a household name and that so much has changed in just a few short weeks. Likewise, along with rounding up our outfit details today, I’m sharing some ways our family is protecting ourselves against this scary virus in case this info helps any other anxious mamas out there.
I’ve officially been back at work for over a week since maternity leave ended and it’s been such a whirlwind! From long nights nursing Sadie and comforting Naiya to pumping at the office every three hours, this mama is tired! When I wake up in the mornings completely groggy, the last thing I want to do is spend too much time picking out my outfits. That said, since I still want to look put together for the office, I’ve been mixing and matching basics to create a fool-proof office “uniform.”
When it comes to accessories, I’m a shoe girl all the way. I don’t often splurge on them but when I do, I love doing some digging to make sure they are truly worth the cost beforehand. If I’m going to spend the money, I always want to make sure that they’ll last for years to come. I’ve had my eye on Golden Goose sneakers for a few years now because they’re so versatile and I’d heard they’re incredibly comfortable. That said, I didn’t pull the trigger on buying them because they come with such a high price tag.
Our family had the best trip to Prague this past fall (more here) and because of crazy mom life, I’m only just now getting a chance to share a bit more about it. Better late than never, I’m so excited to share this post with you! First off, it’s so special to look back at these photos of Naiya because she’s already grown so much since this trip (I’m not crying, you’re crying!). Without further ado, I’m excited to round up the top 10 things to do with a toddler or baby in Prague. Let’s face it: traveling with kids 0-3 can be especially challenging! It’s my hope that the below tips will help you to enjoy this city to its fullest potential with your little ones in tow. Sharing outfit details below too. Enjoy!
