I’m feeling like a super mama this week. After a number of sleepless nights, I made it through two cross-country flights with Naiya and Sadie (without Phil!) in these crazy uncertain times. We were masked, armed with sanitizer, snacks, toys, toddler headphones–ALL the things. Rounding up tips and tricks I learned along the way in hopes that they’ll help you and your family too during these uncertain times.
A friend of mine introduced me to a children’s clothing brand my girls are now truly living in. Loving these pink gingham dresses so much, we actually have them in two different colors! It’s blowing my mind that Naiya and Sadie are almost wearing the same size, but that’s another story. Today, I’m sharing where to snag these looks as well as some similar looks we’re loving too.
I originally drafted today’s post a lifetime ago when I was uber-prego with Sadie and the world was still “normal.” I remember having such bad morning sickness sorting through all of these grocery store photos, I couldn’t bring myself to press publish so I hit ‘archive.’ Thankful to have rediscovered these shots this week because they have so much more meaning now. Naiya and I took these photos for a branded shoot and today, I’m finding comfort in seeing a snapshot of what life was like before COVID-19. Remember grocery shopping without a mask or without waiting in line six feet apart to get in?! Sharing these photos with you today as well as a family update. Spoiler alert: COVID-19 has really hit home for our family and life over the past few weeks has been a lot.
I blinked and we officially have a three year old! I’m sure I sound like a broken record at this point but I truly can’t believe how quickly time is FLYING by with my girls. Also, the growth between ages 2 and 3 is truly mind-blowing! Last year at this time, Naiya was a baby who had just started nursery school and this year, she’s a non-stop talking tiny person (who is home with us all day during this global pandemic but of course, that’s another story!). Sharing photos today from our special, low-key birthday weekend together and a Naiya update below too. It wasn’t the birthday celebration we would have planned but since Naiya was smiling the entire time, it was definitely one for the memory books.
For the past few months, I’ve been on a mission to find a little slice of zen amidst the CRAZIEST YEAR EVER. Since it’s becoming increasingly difficult to do so, sharing some tips below that have been working for me. All of these ideas may sound rather simple but I’ve found them to be extremely helpful during this social distancing time. I can only hope that they help you too!
