I had the privilege of speaking on a panel for Syracuse University recently and it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in a long time. I was able to chat with college juniors and seniors studying out here in LA for the semester as they geared up to apply for their first jobs. If these kids are any indication of our future, I left feeling like will be in great hands. They’re smart, they’re positive thinkers and they want to make a difference. Since I haven’t shared too much about my work life outside of RELish with you here, this particular panel inspired me to open up a bit more about it. So without further ado, today, I’m sharing my favorite secrets on how to nail your first job in Hollywood. If you read this and you do end up making it, I ask only that you continue to pay it forward, that you always stay humble and most importantly, that you hire Naiya as your assistant someday.

BLACK AND WHITE DETAILS
Since I find black and white photos to be really inspiring and artistic, today I collected some black and white details shots from some of my most recent looks and put them together.
MAXI + BIRKS
I lived in this outfit this weekend and loved every minute. This black maxi skirt has become my weekend go-to because it’s so comfy, easy to throw on and I love that it can be dressed up or down. I dressed it down with a comfy pair of Birkenstocks that I’ve now worn in so well, they fit my feet like a glove. I layered on my favorite black leather jacket for some extra edge and wrapped a flannel around my waist for a pop of pattern.
IN THE HOME
Happy Monday, Everyone! Today’s post is all about the decor starting to pop up in our apartment. Phil and I moved into our LA apartment back in June but it’s taken all of these months to make our house really feel like a home (and we’re still getting there!). Over the past few weeks, we’ve been having a lot of fun decorating with colorful pillows, photos and creative frames.
VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND
Phil and I have only two months to go until we tie the knot and we can’t believe how quickly time is flying. It’s been so difficult to find the time for everything I want to do and to balance work with wedding planning and everything in between (without allowing myself to miss a beat if I have anything to do with it!).
