Finding time for yourself when you’re a full-time working mom is so much harder than I ever could have imagined. A few months into going back to work after maternity leave, I often feel like I’m running on fumes and a little too much caffeine. I’ve realized that almost all the of my time at home and at the office feels like it’s devoted to others. This is usually completely fine and doable–until every few weeks, it hits me.
Hello, August 24, 2017! Phil and I have been dreaming of this day for what seems like forever because it’s our daughter’s official due date. Even though she’s not showing any new signs of coming out just yet, this still feels like such a special day and we’re so thankful to have made it here. I’ve heard from so many other moms that first time moms usually go into labor late but I honestly can’t believe I’m still preggo! We have our 40 week OB appointment today and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we find out some good news.
Phil and I have now been back in Los Angeles for about a week since our trip to Iceland. The trip inspired us both a great deal and really helped to put life into perspective–especially given the tragic news stories that have now surfaced in Orlando, Florida this week.
Those who know me well know that living a healthy and clean lifestyle is something that’s extremely important to me. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also realized how important it is to keep my skin happy and healthy too. It’s not just about what you put into your body–it’s also about what you put on it.
I’m excited to be teaming up with RumbaTime today, a brand that makes beautiful friendship bracelet-inspired watches that all go towards a great cause. The braided cotton bands on each watch are interchangeable and for every watch sold, RumbaTime donates $2 to one of four charities that they’ve partnered with.
