Cook But Make It Fashion. That’s what I kept thinking as Sadie and I snapped these photos. After all, if you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that cooking has never been my thing. But since clean eating ALWAYS is, I’m determined to keep learning how to make yummier, healthier meals–especially for the kids. And that’s where Our Place’s amazing Perfect Pan (slash steamer slash strainer slash ALL the things) comes in. I’ve never wanted to try cooking more in my life–this pan is literally that good.
Sharing the real MVP of our recent family trip to the east coast with you today: the “bedbox” ride-along suitcase by Jetkids. Naiya and Sadie scooted around on their bedboxes throughout the airport terminal and later, at my parent’s house. These colorful suitcases open and transform airplane seats into a comfy bed. We recently shared more here. Bedboxes also come with the CUTEST stickers so you can personalize them with your kids. Better yet, they also happen to be on sale right now in a chic, special edition gray color.
After a LONG couple of months, I’m excited to report that our family is back in LA and FULLY moved into our new home! After the fire we had back in May (more here), insurance ended up taking almost EVERYTHING we owned. They cleaned as much as possible and FINALLY returned the items they could over the past couple of weeks. Everything else was considered a total loss.
As of last week, we are officially homeowners with our own yard and patio space! While we had some unexpected mishaps moving in last week (more here), we’re still getting inspired by outdoor patio decor to stay positive. After all, summer is right around the corner and as soon as our new house is back to its original condition, we can’t wait to entertain and spend tons of time outside with the kids. Rounding up some of our favorite patio pieces of the moment that are all clickable (above and below).
Finding time for yourself when you’re a full-time working mom is so much harder than I ever could have imagined. A few months into going back to work after maternity leave, I often feel like I’m running on fumes and a little too much caffeine. I’ve realized that almost all the of my time at home and at the office feels like it’s devoted to others. This is usually completely fine and doable–until every few weeks, it hits me.
