Happy Friday! I just got back to LA from a great shoot for the Verizon Go90 App in Boise, Idaho (more info on that coming soon!). I’m excited to share some new outfit posts and fashion illustrations with you next week but in the meantime, I’m sharing some details about a pair of earrings I’ve recently added to my collection. As a big supporter of small businesses and entrepreneurs, I am excited to team up with Italian-based designer, Laura’s Pills in a collaboration today.
I had the pleasure of attending Syracuse University with an amazingly talented entrepreneur name Kristine Deer. Even back in college, I remember that Kristine was talented beyond her years–she was always sewing and sketching away and she was always able to seamlessly construct her designs so beautifully. She later went onto launch K-Deer, her own line of “haute yogawear” out of New York and I’ve been following along from LA ever since.
I can’t get enough of all of the amazing looks coming down the runways at New York Fashion Week right now. When I saw Kate Spade’s fall 2016 collection earlier week, I couldn’t wait to sketch it out. The colors are so vibrant and I loved seeing the bright fuchsias and reds blended together with beautiful bold patterns. These classic looks with a modern twist are a fashion illustrator’s dream. I’m excited to share my take on these looks from my sketchbook with you today.
This week, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented Kasey Blaustein of Kasey Jones Ink. Kasey is an LA-based entrepreneur who owns a one stop shop for branded experiences, custom art and influencer gifting. Her company provides a variety of unique interactive and one-of-a-kind services for events, companies and individuals throughout the country using multiple art mediums (all of which I’m kind of obsessed with!).
TGIF! This has been one of the busiest, non-stop weeks I’ve had in a long time and I’m looking forward to finally relaxing this weekend. In the meantime, sharing a couple of the latest pages from my sketchbook–the second addition to my lipstick series (if you missed the first piece, find it here!) and a quick sketch of a fashionista in all red everything.
