I’m always so inspired by the gowns on any Hollywood red carpet but my favorite dresses of all are usually at the Academy Awards. I have always been drawn to old Hollywood glamour since I can remember and I love imagining how all of the couture gowns looked on paper before they were constructed.

FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
Here is my latest 15-minute sketch from my sketchbook. I was so inspired by all of the beautiful Golden Globes gowns this past weekend so I sat in front of my television sketching away.
FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
I snapped the first photo above when I was visiting my family in upstate New York over the holidays. We decided to take a day trip to Saratoga, New York–a beautiful historic town known for it’s horse racing, cozy restaurants and beautiful old-world architecture.
GILT CITY LA
I’m teaming up with Gilt City LA today to announce a really special fashion event coming up this week in Los Angeles at Siren Studios. This event is a big warehouse sale for luxury brand items. You’ll be able to search through hundreds of pieces from the most coveted brands from up-and-coming designers as well as from the most venerable fashion houses in the world. Women can score designer finds from brands like Zac Posen, Helmut Lang, Missoni, Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera and more.
FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
I’ve recently had a lot of fun mixing up the mediums I use for my fashion illustrations. My go-to has always been drawing or painting in vibrant color but today I went back to the basics–using simple computer paper and a number two pencil so that my design turned out to be black and white.
