I loved learning how to make a DIY flower crown out of twine and fresh blooms earlier this week thanks to the talented Carly Cylinder (if you missed post, learn how to make your own flower crown here!). Today, I’m sharing my full outfit post inspired by my new flower crown. Flower crowns and rain don’t usually mix but since it started to pour during our shoot, I quickly added my favorite rain boots and umbrella to my look. I’m so happy I did because the combination turned out really comfortable–not to mention functional.

CHANEL-INSPIRED TWEED
If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that I love drawing fashion illustrations–especially of dresses. With every piece that I finish, I’ve always wished that I’d be able to take the project one step further–being able to construct my illustrations into garments I could actually wear. I was really excited to finally be able to do just that with today’s dress.
OFFICE ARTWORK INSPIRATION
Happy Friday, Everyone! I had a lot of fun putting this collage together with some of my favorite RELish fashion illustrations. Phil and I are in the midst of decorating our apartment with artwork (finally!) and we were brainstorming creative ways to display my latest pieces in our family room (and of course tons of other art too).
FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
I snapped the first photo above when I was visiting my family in upstate New York over the holidays. We decided to take a day trip to Saratoga, New York–a beautiful historic town known for it’s horse racing, cozy restaurants and beautiful old-world architecture.
BRIDAL SHOWER DECOR
I flew home to upstate New York for the holidays this week and my sister, Mom and Aunt threw an intimate bridal shower for me. It was so wonderful to see some of my closest family members and friends all in one room together. My mom did the most amazing job creating the most picture-perfect shower I could ever imagine; it feel like Pinterest came to life in our house.
