If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know that I love drawing fashion illustrations–especially of dresses. With every piece that I finish, I’ve always wished that I’d be able to take the project one step further–being able to construct my illustrations into garments I could actually wear. I was really excited to finally be able to do just that with today’s dress.

ELIE SAAB GOWN
I’m always so inspired by the gowns on any Hollywood red carpet but my favorite dresses of all are usually at the Academy Awards. I have always been drawn to old Hollywood glamour since I can remember and I love imagining how all of the couture gowns looked on paper before they were constructed.
FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
Happy Thursday, everyone! I can’t believe it’s almost February (and Valentine’s Day!). January has completely flown by–I started a new job, I’ve been in crazy wedding planning mode with my fiancé (less than three months to go until the big day!) and I’ve also been down for the count this week with bronchitis. All of that said, it’s been tough to post as much as usual and I’ve been a bit M.I.A.!
FROM THE SKETCHBOOK
I snapped the first photo above when I was visiting my family in upstate New York over the holidays. We decided to take a day trip to Saratoga, New York–a beautiful historic town known for it’s horse racing, cozy restaurants and beautiful old-world architecture.
BRIDAL SHOWER DECOR
I flew home to upstate New York for the holidays this week and my sister, Mom and Aunt threw an intimate bridal shower for me. It was so wonderful to see some of my closest family members and friends all in one room together. My mom did the most amazing job creating the most picture-perfect shower I could ever imagine; it feel like Pinterest came to life in our house.
