It’s hard to believe Sadie is already over six months old (and at least 21 pounds)! The rolls on top of rolls on our little marshmallow are the cutest EVER. I’m loving this stage so much–especially since it’s my second time around and I know how fleeting it is. Sharing a mom and baby update with you today as well as some of our favorite unpublished photos of our family from when Sadie was just five days old. We snapped these shots two days after I came home from the hospital. It’s a wonder I was able to get out of bed because I remember being in so much pain but I’m so happy we have these to look back at. It’s hard to believe so much time has already passed!
One of my first loves was for children’s books. As a kid, I vividly remember looking forward to bedtime every night because I’d get to listen to my parents narrate my favorite stories (in all the voices!). In doing so, they helped to instill in me a lifelong love for reading, writing and learning. Naturally, I’ve been trying to inspire Naiya and Sadie in a similar way.
With all of the extra time we’re spending at home right now, our family has been experimenting with meal delivery services. After all, cooking three meals a day while working full-time during the quarantine is no easy feat. Needless to say, this mama needs all the help she can get! Breaking down our faves below and what we love so much about them.
Sadie turned 6 months old this weekend. I know every mom says that time flies when it comes to her babies growing up but it zooms by in an especially crazy way when you’re stuck at home in quarantine. We celebrated Sadie with a sweet little unicorn party. Naiya helped me to set up a cake, unicorn cupcakes and she invited her favorite dolls. Sharing a look with you today that I wore for the occasion.
Our new social distancing normal has already taught me so much. I’ve learned how much the outside world feeds my inner soul and creativity. I’ve further discovered how important it is to truly savor time with my babies because their happiness and well-being are my life’s purpose. I’ve also come to understand the level to which travel and culture are important to me. Over the past five weeks or so, I’ve found myself hungrier than ever to get out and see the world again. In the meantime, I’ve found solace in rounding up some unpublished travel shots with you. We snapped these in Kyoto, Japan last year when I was four months prego with Sadie on our baby moon. Including some travel tips from our trip as well as links to one of my favorite outfits for traveling while prego below. I hope you enjoy!
