I blinked and Sadie is officially over three months old! Sharing some of my favorite recent shots of her and Naiya with you today as well as where to snag my favorite black tulle skirt. I recently posted this look on instagram and received a bunch of DM’s about it. It happens to be on sale so I’m linking to it below. I also wore this skirt in pink a couple years ago (here) but this time, I dressed it one down with the comfiest sneakers because #momoftwolife.
Over maternity leave, I went full Marie Kondo. I’ll blame it on the fourth trimester–a time when I was on a constant quest to find a sense of normalcy in my sleep deprived, laundry-heavy, baby snuggling days. One day while Sadie was napping, I felt such an urge to organize. I threw all of my clothes into one big heap on my bed and kept only the items that brought me the most joy. Everything else HAD to go and lets just say, I ended up donating a lot! With two pregnancies so close together, it felt liberating to finally clean out my closet to make room for new looks that actually fit.
I’ve officially been back at work for over a week since maternity leave ended and it’s been such a whirlwind! From long nights nursing Sadie and comforting Naiya to pumping at the office every three hours, this mama is tired! When I wake up in the mornings completely groggy, the last thing I want to do is spend too much time picking out my outfits. That said, since I still want to look put together for the office, I’ve been mixing and matching basics to create a fool-proof office “uniform.”
I can’t believe I’m officially three months into being a mama of two girls under 2.5. Time has flown by SO much quicker with Sadie than it did with Naiya because my hands are so full with a non-stop toddler. It’s been a wild ride with Sadie being hospitalized with RSV at three weeks old and a number of sleep regressions with Naiya. But overall, we’ve savored the last 12 weeks and I would love to freeze my girls in time just as they are. To celebrate getting through the fourth trimester in (almost) one piece, I’m sharing 5 things I’m loving about my girls right now as well as some of our favorite recent photos.
As my maternity leave with Sadie officially comes to a close, I’m feeling all the feels! Sadie will soon be three months old (cue the uncontrollable new mama tears!). I find myself counting down the minutes we have left in our little bubble before I head back to work because this time together has been truly priceless. Excited to share four ways I’m preparing for the transition back to work with you today as well as some of my favorite newborn photos of Sadie.
