Whenever a new baby is born to one of our family friends, my mom always calls me two seconds later asking for creative gift ideas for new mamas. After having Naiya, we were showered with the sweetest, most creative gifts from friends and family. I guess my mom assumes we’ve learned what new parents really need and she’s probably right! But at the end of the day, every new mom is different and coming up with the perfect gift is never easy. I do think I’ve found a pretty universal gift that new moms might not expect that they’ll end up cherishing for years to come. Sharing what this gift is with you today and where you can snag one at an affordable price too.
Naiya is officially 18-months (going on 18) today and I’m sitting here wondering where our baby went! When Naiya was first born, every parent I knew told me to savor every stage because it flies by so quickly. Now, I’m the mama telling every pregnant mom I know the exact same thing because it really is impossible to imagine until you’re in it. Our mini is truly non-stop these days and I’m excited to share the latest and greatest Naiya photos and updates with you below. As you scroll through, keep in mind that almost all of Naiya’s giant smiles were from listening to ‘Baby Shark’ (for a change) on my phone. What is it about that song?! The rest of her smiles were from me jumping around like a crazy mama trying to keep that smile going. Either way, her face is priceless!
It’s hard to believe we’re already more than half way through February. I feel like we were ringing in the New Year two seconds ago and I was setting my goals for 2019. Every year around this time, I check in with myself. Have I completely thrown away my resolutions already or am I still sticking to them? One resolution I’ve realized I really need to work on this year is simplifying my life. Once 2019 hit and I went back to work, I feel like I’ve been on autopilot. I’m constantly exhausted, I’m calm on the outside but overwhelmed on the inside and I never feel like there’s enough time in the day to get everything done on my to do list. If this sounds familiar to you too, today’s post is for you. I’m rounding up five ways to simplify your life no matter how overwhelmed you may be. For the next few months, I’m going to challenge myself to stick to all five and I’ll report back to share how it goes.
I don’t know about you but I absolutely dread grocery shopping. As a full-time working mom, I’m often racking my brain to figure out exactly when other moms find the time to shop, learn recipes and cook. None of these things are my forte but surely, these moms must have some sort of secret! Now that I have an almost one-and-a-half year old, I know it’s time for me to get this grocery shopping thing together (it took me long enough)! Thankfully, I think I’ve finally found a service to help me that I can’t get enough of. Excited to share more about this with you today because fellow mamas who can’t stand grocery shopping: hopefully this will have you covered too.
I can’t believe Naiya is 17-months and will be turning a year-and-a-half on the 30th. I keep blinking and months seem to be flashing right by. Naiya is growing like crazy and her little thigh rolls are starting to slim out (cue the ugly tears!) She’s a full-out toddler now and I find myself scrolling through her photos from a few months ago wondering where our baby went. Rounding up our outfits of the day today as well as a mom and baby update.
