I’ve made it a point to work out daily throughout this quarantine so far and it’s done wonders for my psyche. Exercising each morning before work helps to keep me focused, shapes my day and helps me to create a healthy routine. Since we’re all stuck inside #alonetogether and we’re trying to stay as safe as possible, I’m rounding up my favorite free workout apps I’ve been loving lately. Hoping the below list will help you too!
Sharing some unpublished photos with you today that we snapped just over a year ago in Tokyo, Japan. I was about four months prego with Sadie here and nauseous as could be! My bump popped out for the first time on this particular day and I remember SQUEEZING into these leggings for my workout. Time has truly flown and it’s crazy to think that one year later, the world is in such a different, uncertain place.
Once COVID-19 hit the states a few weeks back, I was so scared about not being able to workout or go to the gym. Thankfully, I’ve been able to continue running outside here in LA with a mask and the below apps have become my everything too.
1) Tone It Up
This app is free to users for the next month and it’s pretty amazing. The app offers a number of different workouts–from barre to HIIT to weights. It also offers meditation sessions to help balance out intense workouts. You can download it from the app store and voila, you’re ready to go.
The Downdog app is currently free until May 1st. I love it because there’s such a variety of workouts–from HIIT to Barre and Yoga For Beginners to Prenatal Yoga. There’s even a 7 minute workout that you can do in between zoom calls. I’m especially loving these workouts for stretching out my body and finding my zen in all of this craziness.
3) Peleton App
I’ve had my eye on both the Peleton bike and treadmill for a while now. While I haven’t bitten the bullet to buy one yet, I’m loving that Peleton is offering free classes right now for 90 days. If you’re like me and don’t own your own Peleton, you can still take their amazing bootcamp, yoga or strength training classes. Their coaches are so motivating and the free trial makes Peleton products even more tempting!
4) Orange Theory
For those of you who usually live for workout classes with some form of interval training, Orange Theory is currently streaming their classes online and on IGTV for free. Everyday, they’re putting out new workouts with a different focus–core, agility, lower body, etc.
5) Nike Training Club
Nike recently made their Training Club app entirely free. Their multi-week programs include workouts, nutrition tips and wellness guidance to serve every kind of athlete. Each program is made by a Nike Master Trainer to get specific results, but is still flexible enough to fit into our busy lives. Sessions range from 15-60 minutes a piece and there are over 185 free workouts.
