I hope everyone had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a great time celebrating on the east coast with family. A few days before the holiday, we flew into Manhattan to spend a couple of days exploring the city and visiting friends before heading upstate for turkey day. We were really nervous to fly with Naiya for the first time–mainly because we had no idea how she would react on the plane. She’s not a good napper and always wants to be held and walked around–neither of which work well for travel.
Baby Travel Update
Thankfully, Naiya was a total rockstar on the plane (thanks to a few tricks I look forward to sharing later this week in an upcoming post). She also did great with the time change and she loved exploring the city with us. Phil and I could not be happier that we ripped the travel bandaid off early (before Naiya turned three months old!) because now we know we’re able to travel with her successfully. We know it may get more and more tough as Naiya gets older and starts moving around but we love traveling so much, we’re up for the challenge of figuring out how to make it work for our family.
Outfit-wise, I’ve been getting inspired by the holiday season. I styled today’s look around a floral button-down (similar here) with a satin bow around the collar. I’m gravitating towards bows on everything right now so naturally, this top was calling my name. I’m also loving the pearl embellishments on its sleeves. Today, I paired it with a suede mini skirt, nude heels and round sunnies. This is a great look to get you from the office to a holiday party without having to go home to change. The top also looks beautiful paired with simple black skinny jeans and sparkly heels.
