We’re still waiting for this baby to come! Our official due date is now just a few days away–August 24th–and the anticipation is like nothing we’ve ever experienced before. I close my eyes every night wondering if tonight will be the night and I wake up every morning wondering if today will be the day. Since it’s been too hard to make any substantial plans over the past couple of weeks because of baby watch, Phil and I have mostly been staying put, nesting away and decorating our new home. Sharing some sneak peaks of our kitchen and living room today with more photos to come, as well as a fun collaboration.
Fashion-wise, teaming up with Lauren by Ralph Lauren and Macy’s today to share this little red dress (similar here) in black. This dress is not maternity so I sized up to fit over the now giant bump. I paired this little red dress with nude heels, vintage red earrings and a leather bag in navy. I love the dress’ flared sleeves and laser cut details.
Also sharing a sneak peek at a couple of rooms in our new home. Phil and I wanted to incorporate our love for travel into our new place. We ended up collecting a bunch of vintage travel prints over the past couple of years from all of the places we’ve traveled together. We put them in clean white frames and Phil painstakingly hung them up in a gallery wall above our kitchen table. We love the pop of color these add to our room and the meaning behind them. We can’t wait to continue to fill this wall up with more destinations as we travel with our daughter.
We scored our wooden kitchen table at one of my favorite stores, Cost Plus World Market. I love its simplicity and clean lines. Between Cost Plus, Living Spaces and Overstock.com, we found the perfect trifecta of stores to help us decorate almost our entire place in style without breaking the bank.
The blue mid century modern blue couch in our living room is another new addition we’re loving. Our previous apartment was less than 800 square feet and our tiny couch could only fit about 1.5 people comfortably. Our new couch is so roomy, we can actually have friends over and everyone can be seated without being on top of each other. We could not be more thankful.
