It’s been the busiest couple of weeks in the Galanty household but we’re finally coming up for air! After packing up our whole apartment in LA’s Miracle Mile area, we officially moved into our new home in the valley last Monday. Since we moved on a weekday and had an out-of-town wedding this past weekend, we haven’t had a weekend to unpack just yet. That said, our house is still full of boxes and they feel like they keep multiplying. Thankfully, my hubby has been helping big time (I can barely bend down anymore!) and I’ve been unpacking as much as possible every night after work. We’re finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel and we can already tell we’re going to love living here!
We have so much more room, finally have a baby room to decorate and we are already in the midst of planning how to design our new space. The floors in the downstairs area of our home are polished concrete so style-wise, we’ve decided to go with a mid-century modern look. We love how furniture with clean lines look against a floor like this. We’ve already nailed a mid-century modern blue couch and decorative pillows (we’re obsessed with) and we can’t wait for our new rug and sideboard to arrive soon. Looking forward to sharing photos as we continue decorate.
Fashion-wise, I’ve been wearing this t-shirt dress dress on repeat. I love how roomy it is and the fact that it’s the perfect basic for all stages of pregnancy. Fellow preggo mamas-to-be, if you buy a t-shirt dress like this (or a few!) at the top of your pregnancies (here, here or here), it really will be one of your go-to’s for all of your trimesters. I love that it’s still fitting now that my bump is so much bigger. I’m officially 33-weeks today and I can’t believe we have only 7-weeks to go before our due date. There’s so much more to do!
I am still wearing heels to work a few days a week–mostly because they make me feel more put together and more like my normal self. I’ve also been wearing full-out sneakers to work a few days a week (which is a new thing for me!) and I’m loving figuring out how to create work-appropriate outfits with them. Pairing them with t-shirt dresses topped with blazers has worked out really well.
