I celebrated my birthday this past weekend and I jumped into the work week feeling relaxed and ready for a new year. My hubby planned the perfect day: a hike at Runyon Canyon with a few friends and lunch at our favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurant, El Coyote. The older I get, the more I savor days like this. As our friends are moving into new phases of their lives–getting married and having babies–gathering those closest to us all in one place is becoming more and more special.
The weather in LA this week has also been so beautiful, it’s easy to be in a great mood. The seemingly endless rain has stopped for now and the entire city is blooming with spring flowers and greenery. I’ve been having fun reflecting this vibe in my outfits.
Today, I paired a light pink blazer (similar here) with a short-sleeved crisp white button-down I scooped up from Madewell. This is a spring outfit I’ve been wearing on repeat recently because it’s such a simple, minimal look and I love that it looks so professional for work. To top off the look, I added cropped flares and white sandals (similar here), (here) and (here).
