Since my hubby and I met when I auditioned for his Los Angeles-based band, music will forever be a special part of our relationship. Whenever we go to concerts, we tend to geek out and by buy band tees. We have a special rule though: we never buy the same exact styles so that we won’t ever actually match (that’s apparently where we’ve decided to draw the geeky line!). When he bought me this Radio Head tee a few weeks ago, I was excited to add it to my collection and dress it both up and down.

Today, I decided to dress up my tee for the office by layering it beneath a long black blazer. I’m lucky to have a creative job so while we never have to be too dressed up at work, I love to look as put together and polished as possible.  To keep my look more edgy and a bit rock-and-roll, I wore denim skinny jeans with holes in one knee. These are my favorite jeans and they keep getting more comfy with age.  I tucked my tee into my jeans to draw attention to the waist and make the look more polished.

My heels are by Stuart Weitzman and I love them because the nude color elongates my legs but the heel isn’t too high to function in real life.  They are a style called the “nudist song” heels as opposed to a higher version the “nudist” heels, which are much taller and for me, much harder to walk in. I topped off the look with round sunnies and natural curls.
