4 WAYS TO STYLE FALL BASICS

After a bunch of very hot summery days in LA, we finally landed on some slightly cooler weather this week.  I’ve been saving these flared jeans for the occasion because I’ve been living in dresses for the past few weeks.  Today, I paired these jeans with a crisp white button-down–which is one of my favorite basic pieces in my closet.
Sharing four different ways to style these two pieces today. These looks are all great for the office or for for travel and you can take them from day-to-night. Here goes:

#1) The Untucked Button-Down: This look is simple and relaxed. You will look put together but also comfy. I love how the flares add volume on the bottom but that they are tight until your knee. This creates long legs and it’s flattering on most body types.

#2) Add A Hat: I love a good, basic hat–especially when I’m traveling. The below black fedora is perfect for second day hair or for tucking your hair into a bun. It can also help to polish off an outfit without too much fuss.

#3) Choker Love: Leave the top of your shirt unbuttoned and add a simple choker. This will  draw attention to your neck–subliminally elongating it and make you appear taller. Keep the rest of your outfit simple.

#4) Half-Tucked: Since this pair of flares has buttons down the front, I love experimenting with showing them off. Most people are familiar with the normal “half tucked” look–where you tuck the front of your shirt in and leave the back hanging out. You can also try tucking in one half of the front of your shirt in and leaving the other side out. This look is more edgy but it’s a fun alternative.
