For our one year wedding anniversary, our talented wedding photographer and friend, Katrina Jayne Photography, set up the most beautiful styled shoot for us. Over the past couple of years, Katrina has captured our love story–from our engagement to wedding photos. We’re so excited to share our next chapter with you.
Katrina teamed up with the talented Jane Alexandra Events who helped to plan our special day. The two ladies brought on a bunch of talented and generous vendors as well. From personalized macaroons to beautiful vintage furniture and props by Nineteen27 Vintage, our anniversary shoot day was so special.
Phil wore a crisp gray suit and plaid tie. I wore my mother’s wedding dress. I revamped this dress for our wedding rehearsal dinner and since I had only worn it once to date, I couldn’t wait to wear it again. There’s something so special about wearing your mom’s wedding gown–especially when it’s redesigned for you. I worked with the talented Loyce of Grace Bridal Couture to take my mom’s dress from an 80’s gown with puffy sleeves to a dress that still had vintage charm but was more modern.
Throughout our first year of marriage, Phil and I have both learned a ton. We’ve learned more about compromise, about how important it is to carve out one-on-one time with one another and that life is so much easier with your best friend by your side. We’ve started to not only plan our future together–but we’ve also started to see a few of our collective dreams come true. It’s been a year full of ups and downs but thankfully, we are able to lean on one another as we go.
To my tall, sweet, talented and handsome prince: “I Did, I Do, And I Always Will.” Thank you for loving me.
