Happy Tuesday! Blogging away from a very rainy Los Angeles today. After many weeks of traveling on and off, I’m so happy to be back home! Phil and I had a wonderful time on the east coast over the holidays visiting family and friends. After ten days of getting to know Phil’s hometown of Washington D.C., I completely fell in love with it. We lucked out weather-wise throughout our trip because the temperature never really fell below 40 degrees. That said, as an LA girl (and self-proclaimed cold weather wimp), I still lived in layers–especially while we walked around the city. I’m excited to share one of my favorite layered looks of our trip with you today.
This particular day was one of the coldest of our time in DC so I layered up in my favorite red wool coat from Zara (similar here), a thick pink turtleneck sweater I scooped up from Banana Republic (now on major sale!), comfy, walkable boots and a classic black winter hat. I loved so many areas around D.C. but I must say, I absolutely fell in love with Georgetown. Georgetown is best known for being a great shopping destination but I personally loved its the historical architecture best–especially the colorful row homes by the canals.
