Even though it’s been well over a month since our wedding, I feel like I’m only just starting to come up for air and it feels so good! Now that thank you cards and our post-wedding checklist are just about out of the way, I finally have time to sit back and relax with my husband. Finding our new normal is pretty amazing and weekends have never been more liberating; I almost forgot what free time even felt like.  DSC_0054DSC_0101DSC_0057DSC_0063-2DSC_0079DSC_0104DSC_0080wedgeDSC_0098DSC_0086 THE LOOKS: Pink Floral Dress (Similar Here) / Sunnies / Wedges / Earrings / Druzy + Gemstone Bracelet / Shark Tooth Bracelet / Orange Wallet / Gold Ink Tattoo

I’ve finally found some time to start cleaning out my over-crowded closet which feels pretty incredible.  I’ve created a new rule for myself where I have to throw out or donate three older pieces in my wardrobe if I want to buy something new. The rule for throwing a piece of clothing out is: if it’s a piece that I haven’t worn in at least a year, it must go.  I can’t just keep telling myself I will wear it again someday soon (because let’s face it: if I haven’t worn it in over a year, I will never actually wear it).

I bought the above dress from Zara last week after following my above closet purging rule and I’m so happy I did. I love how it flows when I walk, I love the color, the floral pattern and the slit on the side. It’s such a fun piece to layer and wear around LA all summer.  I paired it with one of my favorite jewelry lines I can’t get enough of right now called Ingrid Kirsten Designs.  I had so much fun teaming up with this Laguna Beach-based line today and if you haven’t already, definitely check it out!  Ingrid Kirsten Designs is full of unique, beautiful druzy stones and dainty gold pieces which are perfect for layering. I topped off today’s look with fun Gold Ink Tattoo hearts which I decided to wear on my hand.  It’s fun, removable and is perfect for summer!
