I always look forward to Sundays in Los Angeles because that’s when I hit up some of my favorite flea markets in search of vintage treasures. I especially love Melrose Trading Post because it’s the perfect place to find repurposed furniture at a really affordable cost, amongst tons of other things–from jewelry to vintage clothes and everything in between. When I first moved to LA, I pretty much bought every piece of shabby chic furniture I owned at this market and it’s followed me for years to many different apartments.

Outfit-wise, I always dress comfortably for trips to the flea market so that I can run around looking for great finds (not to mention this also helps me to easily load everything into my car).  Likewise, I paired my favorite new nike air max’s with a skort today so that I’d be comfortable but still slightly dressed up. Today’s trip was all about finding some fun vintage items for our wedding so my sister and fiance came to help out.  We ended up finding some really great gems that I can’t wait to make and make our own for the big day. I’ll be crafting for the next two months straight if anyone is looking for me…here goes nothing!
