I love fall in LA because I get to layer up and move my leather jackets back to the front of my closet. It’s a celebratory day whenever this gets to happen because much of the year in LA is so hot, it rarely feels like there is a change in seasons at all. That said, there’s still something special about fall; the air starts to feel a bit more crisp.
As a native New Yorker, the warmth here is nothing to complain about but fashion-wise, I really do miss layers. Since I’ve lived in LA, leather jackets have been my go-to pieces for extra warmth and a touch of fall edginess. Today’s leather jacket, which I bought last winter, remains one of my favorite staples in my closet. I love the rose gold hardware, the soft, buttery leather and the fit. I also love that real leather jackets like this one get even better with age.
Today, I paired my jacket with nude heels and a comfy navy gingham shirt. I love how the navy pops underneath the black leather–even though I know mixing navy and black is often a fashion no-no. In terms of accessories, I kept it simple with classic black ray-bans and my new favorite rose-colored 360 Pearl Earrings from Baublebar. I now have my eye on these earrings in every color–especially because of their $20.00 price point!
