Ever since I tried on this Ersa Atelier wedding gown this past weekend at Panache in Beverly Hills, I can’t get it out of my head. The lace is so luxurious, the hand-beading is so stunning and the way it skims the body is so flawless. When you step into it, you feel like a million bucks and you can picture yourself walking down the aisle in uber-style. I couldn’t help but get inspired by this gown’s intricate details last night as I sketched away. Above is my own interpretation of the gown.
I sketched it with very simple materials: a No. 2 pencil on printer paper. I decided to keep the illustration black and white so that the eye could be drawn to its intricate lace. I look forward to another fun weekend scouring Los Angeles boutiques for more wedding gowns. I’m sure I’ll be drawing my favorites along the way.
