Over the past few weeks, I have found myself completely enamored with painting shoes in watercolor.  While painting gowns comes quite easily to me, shoes have always been a much bigger challenge. When painting shoes, you have to pay such close attention to perspective and angels, whereas with dresses, they are much more free-flowing and it feels a bit harder to make a mistake.  I chose to paint these classic Louboutin pumps and I’m really happy with the way they turned out. I especially enjoyed painting the red bottoms and then adding reflections to the top of the shoe to give them a three-dimensional effect. I just wish these pumps could jump off the page so I could wear them.
