This past week marked the start of one of my favorite times of the year in the Big Apple, New York Fashion Week. Unfortunately, I now live on the opposite coast so I have to enjoy NYFW from Los Angeles. As a fashion illustrator, I have always greatly looked up to designers who showcase their incredible lines on the runway; each piece is truly a work of art. Since not all fashion lovers can sit on the side of NYFW runways as the beautiful models whisk by, I’ve put together a photo-recap of some of my favorite looks so far from a bunch of different designers who continue to inspire me. Overall trends I’ve noticed include: a lot of color blocking, crop tops, lady-like armpit-length gloves, bright colors that really pop and a lot of cut-outs. I’m excited to see these lines hit the racks and ultimately inspire the rest of the fashion world next season and beyond.
